Talking about the rather ailing condition of group theatre ethos in Bengal, Suprovo Tagore, one of the leading names in Kolkata based so-called Youth Theatre activities, believes that a paradigmatic shift in terms of economic structure can only save the day. Instead of the way things are working right now, there should be a more corporate way of handling things with compartmentalized departments to deal with every detail. Only this will bring in a professional attitude and a much needed change in the mindset of people regarding theatre. Meanwhile, only youth theatre can carry the torch forward, free from the traditions and conventional shackles that are pulling the others behind.
