Posted by Kaahon Desk On December 19, 2014

Talking about the nuances of theatre acting, Goutam Halder elaborates on the relationship between acting and dancing. He feels that the various forms, classical or creative, have all their distinct style, movement and character. In course of acting, one can make use of these distinct moves and styles in terms of body language and gesture and build a distinct personality or a character. But in order to learn and apply this to one’s craft, an actor needs to have clarity and discipline. Halder also
emphasizes on the fact that acting is not merely imitating somebody like the children do. It is an expression born out of one’s experience, ideas and imagination!
