The essential concerns involving theatre activity have shifted owing to a system driven by market economy. Consequently, the scope to try new things is limited along with a lack of courage to take the risk involved! Hence, it’s quite clear why Bengali theatre is suffering from a dull and monotonous stasis. Furthermore he points out the catch-22 of Government grants.
