Pota disagrees to up-tempo numbers as only Bangla Band

Posted by Kaahon Desk On May 26, 2015

Folk music has always been a deep passion and a strong point for Abhijit Barman aka Pota. Even during his stint at Cactus, the set list of folk numbers played a significant role in live concerts. However, there were strong reactions from the band who apparently wanted to take a different course with more up-tempo numbers. But Pota feels that the argument about the factor of mass acceptance is merely a weak excuse. He believes that it takes a lot of spine to tread a different path. He reverentially mentions the works of Gautam Chatterjee in this regard. But sadly, most of the bands are content to be a face in the crowd.
