Kaushiki Chakraborty simply lashes out at the mere suggestion that the cotemporary generation lacks interest in Classical Music. She feels that it is an extremely narrow point of view that can only stem from a lack of proper awareness about the contemporary scenario. She firmly believes that it is not a random phenomenon but a direct consequence of our times. If one ignores that and takes the issue out of context, it will only result in generations blaming each other. Already the gap has given way to a cold indifference. The only way to work on it and achieve something constructive is through tolerance and acceptance. Pointing of fingers will only result in fingers being pointed back.
