Kamaleshwar Mukherjee refuses to admit that big budget films have successfully altered the model of commerce in Bengali Cinema. Be it ‘Mishar Rahasya’ or his own ‘Chander Pahar’ or the upcoming remake of ‘Magadheera’, these are very sporadic instances considering the overall number of films produced. 2 or 3 films cannot prove or preempt or predict any model or trend. He discusses the various factors that ensured the success of ‘Chander Pahar’ and thus the recovery of the investment.
