Indranil Mukherjee talks about the advent of digital in the movie world and argues that the essential difference lies in the discipline of practice. However, he points out that like any other new technology, even digital has certain flaws of its own. But the practitioners, especially the youth, are refusing to address these flaws and ending up glorifying them in an aesthetic light. Meanwhile the manufacturers are capitalizing on this and creating a market for superficial benefits which have hardly any cinematic requirements. Indranil urges the youngsters not to forget the discipline of cinema-making in the name of Digital!
