Rati Chakravyuh: Director and DoP opine different on digital

Posted by Kaahon Desk On October 19, 2014

Talking about the so-called celluloid-digital divide, Ashish Avikunthak refuses to accept it as a contradiction; he further reminds about the interim format of video. He feels that the difference is largely in image fidelity and thus the practice. Basab Mullik chips in by commenting that the cinematic imagination is not affected; in fact, with the advent of digital the scope has got wider like never before. Each platform should be considered as individual modes of expression and not just substitutes for one another.
