Film acting is rather revealing self than becoming character

Posted by Kaahon Desk On April 13, 2016

Tuhinabha Majumder has a very personal take on the idea of acting in films. He is quite vehemently against the prevalent practice of workshops before the shooting begins, even when an expert conducts the workshop. Tuhinabha finds that idea very restrictive in nature. He also maintains certain reservations against those trying to imitate the method school of acting where an actor ‘becomes’ a character. Tuhinabha feels that believability can be achieved through make up, costume, set, décor, etc. Actors, on the other hand should be vulnerable beings ready, able and willing to truly reveal their selves in front of camera. It might make them vulnerable, but it also makes them interesting!
