Talking about changes in making a film, Debalina Majumder speaks about cinema travelling from big screen to mobile phones. And the change is evident as much in viewing as in making, case in point being the advent of DSLR cameras, mobile phones and Bluetooth devices. So essentially it is a shift to digital. But despite its obvious democratic consequences, Debalina feels that the making shouldn’t be constricted. That is, an idea of a log shot shouldn’t become a series of mid shots and close ups keeping mind the size of the screen! On the same line, she recognizes the reach and effectiveness of internet as a platform but is not yet ready to accept it as her medium of choice.
