As a cinematographer working in the movie world, Amlan Datta considers his director nothing less than a God. According to him, a director is the one who knows what to do with the cinematographer’s vision and with a sense of direction. Incidentally, Datta mostly does his own jobs including writing, directing, shooting and editing entirely on his own. However, for the right director, he is always ready and willing. For him, the waiting and the sense of anticipation has an almost spiritual color to it and as a cinematographer, he places high value on patience and its rewards.
