Talking about his debut feature ‘Labour of Love’ (Asha Jaoar Majhe) Aditya Vikram Sengupta confesses that his decision about making a film on this idea was motivated chiefly because it was the most ‘workable’ in terms of finance and logistics, which ensured creative independence. He drew inspiration from old habits of strolling down parts of the city in the very early or very late hours, recording sounds, taking snaps or simply interacting with people. Furthermore, his background in NID helped him to perceive the entire film in terms of images. And when it came to combine those images with sound, creative decisions began kicking in and the film started to take shape…
