In her candid and down to earth manner, Sufia explains her affinity towards folk music or the music of spirit, of Dehatatwa. It is the deep essence and the message of liberation that attracts her to this practice. She cannot emphasize enough the significance of Guru who is guiding light for her in this path.  For Sufia, music is just not a craft but a way of life and a way to uplift the spirit and encounter God. Asked about her lack of formal training in music, she points out with a smile that it’s all a gift of God!
