Talking about the folk music instrument Shree Khol, Hare Krishna Halder traces back its origin and lineage including the mythological, historical as well as musical aspects. He dynamically shares various anecdotes from different Hindu scriptures highlighting the mention of Mridangam. Hare Krishna points out the trajectory of change of this instrument across regions through the ages. However, Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and the Krishna Cult seemingly played a significant role in propagating the instrument and its use. He believes that Shree Khol is not merely an instrument but a manifestation of ideals, of life and faith.
